Jumping over things is a handy skill for your puppy to learn as, especially if you go jogging off the beaten track and meet an obstacle at the last minute.
Start by finding a low wall or log for your dog to jump over and tell your puppy to sit. Show them how you step over the object and say 'OVER'. Gently tug on the leash to encourage you dog to move. Repeat this process until your dog jumps on command and without the leash.
As your puppy successfully completes each exercise, give them plenty of praise and the occasional treat. Remember to keep the trick in your repertoire so that the remember how to do it, and it also adds variety to your exercise program.
