Your cute little rambunctious puppy is going up, they have made it through the clumsy teens and are now a young adult.
The onset of adult hood varies by breed, if your dog is 6 months to 2 years old, they’re a young adult. Generally a male has finished puberty when he starts to lift his leg to urinate. A female will be out of puberty when she goes into heat for the first time.
An adult dog's health differs from being a puppy as well. During the adult years your dog will start to mature mentally, their height and weight will start to level off and their temperament will be well established.
Your adult dog will require less attention than your playful puppy, however they will still need training and special attention from you.
